Michele from
New Beginnings has tagged me for a new game. The rules are: open a document or file folder, click on the fifth folder and then the fifth photo. Post the photo and describe it, then tag 5 more bloggers to keep it going. Soooo, here is my photo:
Well this sure is a boring picture. Now I know for sure I should delete more photos in my stash! I will now give you my "color commentary". It is a picture from our cabin up in Idaho of my 4 lilac bushes, 3 tomato plants, geraniums and some wild flowers in the Spring of 2008. I think I took the picture because there were lilac flowers on the lilac bushes on both sides. I had strung the little fence up to keep moose, deer & rabbits from munching on my feeble efforts at a garden. Not to mention my over zealous Airedale Terrier, Baby, that has a taste for flowers. (She LOVES roses;<) I actually did get several tomatoes last summer and there always was some sort of color in the area. Very surprising & exciting to me since I tried for
years in Phoenix to have a veggie garden and nothing
ever grew. Anyway, this is my little patch of terra firma that I tend to each summer. When we eventually have the outside landscaped it may have to be moved to another area, but so far it seems the perfect spot.
I'm choosing the following folks to continue this tag game:
1. Danielle of An Eagles View (should be some cute picture of one of her kiddlings)
2. Joated of Compass Points (maybe some pics of their log cabin being built??)
3. John Gray of Going Gently (can't guess---he has such diverse posts).
4. Noah the Airedale of Noah's Bark (surely some Aussie wonderland pictures).
5.Molly & Taffy of Terrier fun with Molly & Taffy (an Airedale & a Welshie -- sound familiar?)
Okay, I've tagged these folks and pooches, so please now click on their (underlined) names and visit their blogs. I sure enjoy visiting them all. Blessings to my fellow bloggers. love, Cassie

Cassie, Nice picture.. We use a stinky liquid (Liquid Fence) to keep the deer and critters from eating our flowers. It works--but is costly and does stink for a little while after we spray it. BUT--it's worth it to save our flowers and yard.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
Thanks for tagging me Cassie. Of course I'll play but first I have to post about Lucy's possum adventure. I'll get onto the tag soon though.
Your garden looks nice. Is it covered in snow at the moment?

Thanks for tagging me! I love this! Although..I am going to have to bend the rules..just a touch! (I will explain why in my post)
P.S. Love this picture. There is nothing better than a good veggie garden! YUM!
Hi Cassie
We will be playing your tag game. Thanks for including us.
Happy weekend.

Jeez, there's no way that I can play by these rules! They require ... organization!.
Fifth this and fifth that and fifth picture....HA!
Maybe in some alternate universe I'm that organized. I must be, I fooled the folks at school for over 32 years into thinking I knew exactly what I was doing and could put my fingers on any little detail they wanted be it classroom lesson plans, yearbook, recognition certificates (which I created and printed) or whatever. But that was nearly 5 years ago and it's all in my past. Now my files are based upon the Pile Principle.(Terry says they always were at home...but I've seen her office and she should not comment.)
Anywho....If you want a collection of links to the construction of the Aerie I've put them here: http://joated-loghome.blogspot.com/
There are no pictures at that Blog, but the links take you to the week-by-week posts that I put up during the purchasing/excavating/construction phases.
(Oh, I'll probbaly put this entire comment (with an added link back here) on Compass Points.)
good one. I felt the same way when I opened mine up - I was wishing it was a more interesting picture. then again, that is probably the point of it all! I had not even noticed that liz was the only one singing - good eye!! Happy Lord's day!!
Mom loves to garden so she's just loving your gardening pictures!
We hope Baby doesn't get snagged by any rose thorns! OUCH!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

It's a great spring when the lilacs are in bloom. We love them!
So glad you got the link thing...you done good. :D
Hi Cassie! I like this picture. :D Gee whiz, you sure have to go through a lot of trouble just to keep invading critters from eating your garden though. Lilacs are one of my favorites too!
