AND More Snow!
We are in Missoula now & our trip did not start out too great. 2009 better start getting better. Patrick forgot to lock the bubble on top of the car & after about 40 miles of driving a kind driver pointed to it and Pat pulled off the road. The bubble was wide open and the computer case was no longer with us, as was the case with several of my reusable grocery bags. Patrick had put the case up there stuffed full of cd's and other computer paraphernalia (who knows what?) so he turned around and we retracked our drive. Never found the computer bag....did get the other cheapy bags though. That wasted at least 2 hours. Anyway, he drove until after 1030pm, which we never do, but he wanted to make up for lost time. LOTS of ice and snow packed highway and also off and on snow showers. Slow going. Spent the night here at the Red Lion in Missoula. Okay, decent nights sleep, but awoke to a flood on the bathroom floor. Toilet overflowed. We just paid full price for the room, but the clerk said she would check with the manager about refunding some of the cost. Oh brother. Soooo friends, could you please send up a few prayers for us on our journey. Things haven't started out too great. At least we have our health!! Blessings. love, Cassie PS-The dogs have been good.

Cassie - you didn't lose the computer itself I hope! You poor thing! And that clerk should at least refund 75% of the room cost to you. I am praying the rest of your trip goes well, clear weather!
I have been praying for you since I heard about all the bad weather in you area. I guess, I didn't do a very good job, or got the wrong number. I'll redial.
Please be safe! ox Jen
Now that's a bad way to start off the trip and the new year!!! I hope it will get better for you the rest of the trip. Send us a few inches of that snow;-)
Thanks so much.I figure it would have been alot worse if not for those prayers. We are leaving Provo, Utah now and it looks like a fine day. When we left Missoula yesterday there was ice on the road until about Butte, then it wasn't bad at all.Doesn't look like they got much snow in southern Idaho and Utah. We're on our way, again, thx for your prayers. No problems Jan 4th!!
so, did you come by bozeman? glad all turned out OK! goodness, don't you hate when everything goes wrong at once?!
I'm late at reading this, Cassie, but I'm glad to hear things are better now. I hope that the days ahead in 2009 will be better for you even if the year did get off to a bit of a rocky start.
Good health is a huge blessing to be grateful for, which we often don't realize until we don't have it anymore.
Michele ~ Didn't make it as far east as Bozeman. We are now in Page, Arizona and it's like summer here compared to far North Idaho! So happy that we are now only about 5 hours from Phoenix so tomorrow should be a breeze.
Daisy ~ Days 3 & 4 of Jan. have been good,so for that we're grateful.Right on about health.Pat & I are actually kind of physical wrecks (arthritus & other age-related problems, but we can still get along fine without canes!!).Ha!
