Another Award! THANKS Dorothy!

This award was passed on to me by Dorothy at http://www.mawdot.blogspot.com/ . Her blog "Counting My Blessings" is chocked full of gorgeous pictures and nice listening music. The music ranges from gospel to 1940's Benny Goodman and is so much fun! I have to take turns between putting her blog on & putting Jen's (http://www.unglazed.blogspot.com/) on because I enjoy both of their tastes in music. You can click on any of the highlighted blogs and go directly to those blogs. As Jen says, "But, remember to come back here to visit!"

Arte y Pico

My friend Jen from http://www.unglazed.blogspot.com/ gave me this Arte y Pico award back on July 12th. I, however, didn't have the computer savvy to post it. To the rescue has come my superhero hubby, Patrick. He is walking me through the steps & now TA DA.....my 1st blog award! Many thanks to you, Jen, for your kind words & for bestowing upon me this cool award. Here are the rules for the Arte y Pico award:1) pick five (5) blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also for contributing to the blogging community, no matter what language.2) each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.3) each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.4) award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of “Arte y Pico” blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award which is here: Arte y Pico. I have to mimic Jen by stating word for word what she said before making her award presentations: **** I Love you all; you all have been so kind to me and I thoroughly enjoy reading all of your blogs and am humbled by your kindness and comments to me. I really don't like singling people out (but the rules say pick 5 & my most faithful readers have all already received this!!) -I love you all!

1 - This award is given posthumously to Jenny at http://www.mangymooseacres.blogspot.com/ because, even though she is deceased, I believe her blog to be worthy of this award. You will be blessed should you decide to visit. I never knew her, but feel as though we were friends, and that we will meet someday in heaven.

2 - http://www.toaireisdivine.blogspot.com/ is the blog of Bogart Handsome Devil, the world's most adorable canine blogger! His mistress and master take him to all sorts of interesting places and it is all on film. Go see this cute fellow.

3 - http://www.intothewildministries.blogspot.com/ is a mix of "guy stuff" and God stuff. An interesting blog especially if you love the Lord or are a hunter! (I'm from the first group.) Actually met this fellow & his wife at the Nordic Fest up in Libby Montana!

4 - http://www.dianamosesbotkin.blogspot.com/ Diana is an exceptional artist and her painting a day blog is pretty cool. I'm not so talented, but sure enjoy looking at her art.

5 - http://www.agathaandarchiespage.blogspot.com/ This silly brother and sister wire haired fox terrier team is fat and happy. If you want to get a giggle go see them.

This is it for now folks. Hope you enjoy visiting all of the websites I've chosen. Blessings and love, Cassie

Not Only My Hero!

My sweetie, Patrick isn't just my hero. He is also a hero for United Blood Services in Phoenix, Arizona. He gives so much blood I'm surprised he isn't just an empty flap of skin!! They took this neat pic of him at his work. He might be somewhere on youtube also, but I'm not sure how to find it. Good going honey!

Canine Capers Pictures

Here are some pictures from the 2nd Canine Capers race Baby & I did. It was Hooties first run and he did great. Both Maggie and Andrew McCoy ran with him and he did the full 5k and obviously had a blast. I bet he would have gone home with them if I

had let him. The gal with Baby Rocket Dog (in blue warm up suit) is my dear friend Marilyn. I thought the 2 of them looked so regal in that pic! That's Maggie with Hootie just before the race. They just met. The kids with Hootie (on the picnic bench) are the McCoy children:Andrew, Maggie and Ammon. Ammon,#58, won the youth race for best time with his own dog. He won last year too...a fast fellow. The embroidery Canine Caper 2008 is the front of the t-shirt I got from the race. Very nice, no? The picture of me with Baby, Hootie and Andrew was taken by Marilyn. Even thought neither of my pooches won any prizes, we had a good time. The dogs bought a birthday present for Patrick while there, which I will show you after his b-day (Sept.30th). Forgive my amateur videos, they are pretty hectic, but I am going to post them anywho. Once Pat is home (tomorrow, YEA!) I might be able to get away more often to post some blog ideas I have. Once again, I keep you in suspense! God bless you richly. Love in Him, Cassie

Explaining The Pictures From The Last Post

Baby Rocket Dog & I are now at the library for a few minutes so I'll explain yesterdays pictures. The stuffed elephant is a gift I bought for my cousin Mary's daughter, Kayla, at the Libby, MT Nordic Fest. Went to it on Sunday and got all kinds of cool stuff. Baby went with me and she was on her best behavior. The flowers behind the elephant (isn't she cute??) were purchased at our farmer's market Sat. morning for a mere $5. The 2 1/2 ft. moose on our hearth was also bought at the Nordic Fest. Fell in love with him at first sight. The rest of the pics are of our Veteran's Memorial Park here in town. It is a lovely little rest spot next to the library. A few weeks ago someone (hooligans) spray painted on the largest granite memorial with red paint. Some concerned citizens of our town have posted a hefty reward to find the culprits. I hope they're caught. Tomorrow the two "kids" & I are entered in the Canine Capers fun run. A little girl named Maggie will walk with Hootie & I plan on walking with BabyRD. I say 'plan', because I've had some problem with my sciatic nerve and if it acts up I'll be sidelined. Maggie's mom, Tanya, said she'll take over if needed. I hope to get some good pics to share with you all from this event. Last, but not least, will you all keep a friend of ours in prayer? Betty was diagnosed with metastatic malignant melanoma (they do not know where it started) in her throat and now has some spots on her lung. Please pray for her recovery and for her husband, Jim, who is now retired, and who's sun rises and sets with Betty. Jim, Patrick & I all used to work together at the SRP power plant in Phoenix, and he has been a good friend to my hubby. Thanks friends. Be well & remember Who loves you most. love, Cassie

Sorry, The Server Was Down!

Hello again folks. I hadn't been able to get a wireless connection the last several times I was outside the library, so have missed reading all your blogs. I am currently in Sandpoint at McDuff's Brewing Company eating the worlds best beer cheese soup & using their wireless. Have a therapeutic massage in 30 min. , so will post some pics & try to get back to explain later. Hope I haven't lost my small, but faithful readers! Blessings & love, Cassie

The Birthday Rainbow

Went to a birthday gathering last evening (for 4 people)in my friend, Rose Mary's backyard. Everyone brought a dish (I 'made' a cheese tray) and there were lots of earthmother type foods. Quite tasty. While we were eating it started sprinkling and a double rainbow appeared. It was way more spectacular than is seen here. These pics are of the 4 birthday honorees: Jerry,Rose Mary,Jody and ?(the tall woman in the back!). ~~~I'm having a bit of a problem with the editing function of my blog (very wierd script is taking the place of the pictures), so I can't delete the darker, duplicate photo.~~~ The individual photo is my buddy Rose Mary. It only sprinkled for about 10 minutes and that just made it all the better when the bonfire was lit. Happy Birthday & many blessings for the coming year Rose Mary!

The Newly Shorn "Kids" After, Before & After

My pictures make poor little Hootie look distorted, like he has a big head, when in reality he is kind of a pin head. He doesn't know it though, so he lives in bliss!

Before & After

Saturday I will try to post new pics of Baby Rocket Dog & Hootie. I took photos of them on Wed. evening in their full bushiness. Thursday they went to Jody, the groomer in Sandpoint, and both got groomed/haircuts. It was Hootie's first, and he looks so much older. He isn't quite 4 months old but the "big boy haircut" really makes him look like an older fellow! Kind of like when our darling little boys who had grown their hair for the first 2 years of their lives got their first barber cut. Well, now that I've thrown out the hook...come on back to see the pics. Be well & praise the Lord for His mercy endures forever! love, Cassie

Happy Labor Day!

Dear Ones,
You have got to look at www.dancingwithdaisy.blogspot.com for Aug.31st. Just click on it here and it will take you there. Her writing is cool, and this post is super. I just love the picture from Australia.
For all who read this, The Barocha: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May He lift up His countenance onto you and give you peace.
love, Cassie
