COLOR Monday ~ Black...

Airedale Terriers and Welsh Terriers are sometimes called the Black & Tan Terrier. Hairy "Hootie" Houdini, our Welshie, sleeping in the chair I bought for him and Baby Rocket Dog lounging on one of her pillows are my favorite Black & Tans. They are so full of life...and mischief. I just love them. How could I chose anything else for my black post?!
When Airedales and Welshies are born they are mostly black. Black faces and bodies. As they mature, the tan takes over and the black saddle & top of the neck is all that remains. Here are photos of baby Baby (top 3) and baby Hootie and one of the two of them together.

They are so cute! Very interesting about their coats and how the tan takes over.

I wouldn't want you to choose anything else! They are just so darn cute. Hope you had a good Monday. I'm a little late to the posting game today, but managed to get one in.

I really like your Black & Tans! That's a cute picture of 'Hootie' sleeping in the chair.

That's interesting how the black is so predominant at first, but it fades away. Cute dogs, not matter what color!

They're sweethearts, aren't they. Lots of dogs for black week this time around. :) Happy Monday, Cassie!

love, love, love the photos of your two beautiful dogs!

Just called by to say sorry for being so remiss in commenting (and blogging on the allotment and the dog blog) - just taken a wee rest from the dog blog - until inspiration strikes me again! And the allotment one is still going, but not had time to post.

No worries, I will continue dog blogging, thanks for your kind comment, I kinda gave up and put the final post up, then had a rethink so took it down. Too much history, to finish altogether, 5 years and counting, though this is Marvin's third actual blog!

I suffer from Sudden Deletion syndrome. ha ha

No seriously, your words were much appreciated. Thank you for being such a kind friend.

Jeannie xxxxx in rainy Scotland today.

What gorgeous puppy shots. Black & Tan are the only colours we wear in our family, too.
