I also harvested my first crop of rhubarb last week. It was only enough for a single babycake, so I also made a pineapple upside down cake. I gave the big one to some friends who are working on their home...saved myself from it! I did polish off both of the babycakes in a few days all by my lonesome. Bad Cassie!

What Have I Been Up To?
Patrick planted my Sweetheart Cherry Tree for me two years ago. Last year the deer ate all the leaves from it & I was afraid they'd killed it. Well, it made it through the winter so I covered it with netting this summer so we wouldn't have a repeat deleafing. Hallelujah! I had my first crop of cherries and I harvested and ate all 6 of them a couple days ago!! They were yummy.

The cakes look yummy and those are the prettiest cherries. Good for you!
Wow, that looks GOOD - I love pineapple upside down cake, too. Fortunately for my waistline, you're a bit too far away, so your cake is safe ... from me, anyway. :)
Hurray! You grew your own cherries! :-D Next year you'll have more, I bet. Your cakes look yummy, Cassie.
Yum, Yum! You have made me hungry for something sweet! I have been craving a peach cobbler!
Yum! Nothing like home baking. The pineapple upside down cake looks awesome
Yum!! Pineapple upside down cake - I haven't made one in years, but after seeing yours I might have to.

"All six of them." :D
The pineapple upside down cake looks very yummy. I could sit down with you and eat it with a cup of tea or coffee.
Re: your question, you mean the scrabble board? No, not me. It is the Meme badge for ABC Wednesday.
I wish cherries would grow down here in the South. :< but it's way too hot for them.
I could do with that cake on my open day!!!

You beat us - we harvested FIVE cherry... tomatoes yesterday. The pineapple upside down cake looks dee-lish. Have a good weekend!
Now I am feeling inspired to do those hanging gardens next year.
Running joke from some friends of mine ages ago: "Do you think the rain will hurt the rhubarb?"
"Not if it's canned!"
: )
We are still getting a good crop of rhubarb from our "forced" rhubarb plant Cassie! It never gets as far as a recipe tho, we eat it stewed.........with plain yoghurt. I would love to make a crumble or a pie, but hey, it is just gobbled up. Without even asking!
