Shadow Shot Sunday #155 ~ Face in the Forest

This Forest Face has been in our driveway for about 7 years.  I believe he really looks like he belongs now.  The first 3 pics were taken in the sunny afternoon and the last 2 were taken in the dark of night on Friday. Every time I see Forest Face he brings this to mind:

This is the forest primeval. The murmuring pines and the hemlocks,
Bearded with moss, and in garments green, indistinct in the twilight,
Stand like Druids of eld...

For more Shadow Shots, or to join in, please visit our hostess, Tracy, over at HeyHarriet. Talented folks from around the world have fun with this meme. Blessings to all who pass this way.  I hope you're having a good weekend.

love,
Cassie

ps-Good news: All I had to do to fix the problem I was having with blogger was to choose to update it!!  Duh.

Love the sunlight shots although the face looks a bit eery :D

I've been having blogger issues recently which are driving me nuts. Glad you sorted your problems out!

Looks like you've got yourself an Ent in your driveway.

Whimsical! (I think I would be scared out of my socks, however, if I met this guy in the dark!)

I HAD A LITTLE SHADOW
(With apologies to Robert Louis Stevenson)

I had a little shadow
No bigger than my thumb;
I took him to the meadow
And there I gave him rum.

My drunken little shadow
Did weave and bob and pitch;
He stumbled from the meadow
And fell into a ditch!

The face though looks friendly, perhaps amiable. He has not a mean piece of bark, anywhere! Perhaps he is a guardian over the woods. Nice as he seems, he can defend his turf if needed!

Yay that you got your blog problem fixed!
I love that forest man-quite a character! Did someone make it or bought?

That tree is too eery for me . It reminds me of "Snow White" when my parents had to take me out of the theater, screaming.

That is incredible....I saw the face in the very first photo right away. I've seen these in and around town, but NEVER in a forest. It gives off a mystical, mysterious atmosphere. I love it.

That forest face is neat! It didn't jump right out at me in the first photo, but sure is obvious in the rest.

I memorized that when I was in Jr. High!! Longfellow, right? Evangeline.

A member of the Ent tribe! What is his name?

I'd be thinking of Robert Service's The Pines
