Last weekend was the "super moon". The night it was to be the brightest Phoenix had cloud cover so we couldn't even see it! Luckily, I took this photo with Patrick's camera the night before. The moon was pretty cool that night and I captured some shadows too.
For more Shadow Shots go visit our Aussie hostess, Tracy at Hey Harriet. Hope you're all having a good weekend. I'm getting over some sort of flu, so am resting up!

Hi Cassie ! make sure you take it easy and I hope you feel a lot better soon ! LOLx
Pretty picture of the moon, Cassie. I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. I hope you fell better soon. :)
The "tresses" on the trees remind me of Macbeth's hags out on the moor, stirring their witchy brew!
WONDERING WHY
Said Shadow, “I do wonder why,
When there is no sun in the sky,
I must disappear;
I’d like to stay here
And never again say good-bye!”

Excellent photo! I was in and out last Saturday trying to see the super moon, but by the time it had risen enough for us to see it, it just looked like any other moon!! Hope tou are feeling better, Anne x
The nighttime shadows are unique, and we often miss them. Yet, to obtain shadows from a brilliant moon is so cool. The moon sits over a lovely abode, calling to attention the brilliance of the land and sky. A lovely view!
Lovely shot of super moon through the trees.
I love the moon through the trees and what a terrific capture for the day, Cassie! I do hope you're feeling better soon! Do take care and enjoy your weekend!
Sylvia

That is a great picture, thanks for sharing:)
Love this photo of the moon and the tree framing it.
Just look at that, perfect representation amongst those gorgeous weeping branches :)
I was in Sedona for that moon and it was totally obscured up there too! Love your night before shot though...
It was a glorious site, I even sat outside and did some stargazing, it was a beautiful night in Iowa!
Gorgeous!
Have a great weekend Cassie!
I think your moon photo is a super moon shot anyway! Boo to cloud cover! I'm sorry you've been sick too! I hope you fully recover soon. Take things nice and easy :)

So sorry to hear you have been sick Cassie. John and I have had something for about 3 weeks but are finally feeling better.
This is a beautiful shot - love the lighting.
Hope you are on the mend - have a good week.
Night shadows! Very nice!!
That's the night I caught my moon shot as well! Love the composition and dark shadows!
What a night! :)
Have a great week ahead!
Cool composition, the tree frames the moon nicely.
Love your shadow this week Cassie! Too bad it was too cloudy to see the brightest night thought - bummer...but isn't that the way it works sometimes?!! Sure hope that you are feeling better - keep resting :)
It was too cloudy to get a decent shot here, too. I like the way the moon is framed by the branches there.
Hope you feel better!
thanks for sharing the moon from your side of the world! we had a beautiful moon up here too, but no camera :(
take care and feel better soon
I like your SS!
Hey, hey!!! So happy that you found me back. I'm still trying to touch base with all my old favorite bloggers!!
I love your shadow shots, and never knew there was such a thing. Now I have a whole new way to screw up my pictures! I can't take good pictures, and actually my best shots are with my phone's camera.
Hi Cassie Hope you are feeling much better. I showed my youngest son your little video of "The Mad Hatter" it cracked him up, gee he laughed.
My following avatar on your blog doesn't seem to be working properly, so if you see 2 of me on your list of followers it's because I'm trying to redo it again to see if it works. Sorry!
Lovely nightshot and moon!:-)
