Shadow Shot Sunday #192 ~ Guest Photographer

Patrick has had his eye on this saguaro cactus for a while now.  He is fascinated at how it seems to be growing out of the rock outcropping.  He got these shots when our daughter and SIL were here.  I'm guessing the artist in Patrick and the ham in David helped concoct this middle photo.
For more Shadow Shots from around the world, you can just click HERE. Our hostess this week is Rose.
Blessings to all who pass this way.

love, Cassie

Not for one second do I believe that David (is it?) is leaning into that saguaro!

BOOKISH SHADOWS

Darksome shadows in my path,
You are not the Grapes of Wrath;

And yet when I hear your hums,
Something Wicked This Way Comes!

May your darkness turn to light
Like The House of Mirth, all right?

May all sadness drift away—
Send Lolita here to play!

That is cool the way the cactus seems to be growing out from nowhere. I think both David and Patrick have a good sense of humor! :-D

Happy weekend to you, Cassie!

Amazing how adapting cacti are! Talk about tenacity!

Cacti are so neat, their shapes and thorny skin so different than the flora in the Northeast. The photo artist in the middle has that artist's attitude, to cool for the non-artist to understand...the desert is beautiful!

One of my favourite things in Phoenix is the Cacti. They are just so unique and something we Brits never see!

Very clever shots, especially the middle one!

Ooooo! Aaaa! Can't say what else I am thinking! It'd be censored! So I'll just say that strange things grow in strange places! Fun light and shadow play enhances this prickly growth too!

LOL!
I would have not known the size of the plant had it not been for their antics. So.... thank you. :)
