Shadow Shot Sunday #181 ~ Frosty Morning

We've had some mighty cold mornings lately.  Old Man Winter is just around the corner here in farrr North Idaho.  The mountains are already covered with snow and we have had a few dustings.  For some warmer Shadow Shots I'm going on over to our hostess in Australia's blog.  Come and join me, HERE!  Hope you're having a good weekend.
love, Cassie

Wow it must have been cold there! Here in the UK we are just having damp weather, as usual.

We won't be back in Phoenix for our dose of sun until next February. I'm already counting the days!

Great photo!

We've been having some pretty frosty mornings here too, Cassie. Luckily it warms up again in the afternoon. Nice shadow shot! Happy weekend to you! :-D

A very frosty little character that looks as if he has been dusted with icing sugar! And he sports a cute little shadow!

Such a delightful shadow shot for the day, Cassie! Lovely leaves that do indeed look as if they had been dusted with powdered sugar or icing! You can tell I haven't eaten in several hours as the leaves look good enough to eat!! Hope your weekend is going well!

A little frost goes a long way!

SHADOW, WILL YOU?

Shadow, will you always be
Here where I can always see
What you do and how you play?
Or will you just slip away?

Indeed, the benign view is the frosted sugar leaves. If we are too serious about it, we see the frost as Old Man Winter itself. Actually, the perfectly shaped bronze leaves are beauty in and of themselves. The serious snow is in the mountains, it is not winter yet in your bucolic valley - enjoy the rest of your short autumn!

I love the contrasts between the green grass, the dusting of frost, and the fallen leaves. We've had some nippy days in south Arkansas already, but due to get in the 70s the next few.

We got up this morning to a hard frost - and I took a very similar photo when we were out for a walk! Happy belated birthdays and anniversary!

Sad and beautiful, all at once. It's frosty here in Indiana, too.

It doesn't feel a whole lot warmer here in northern California. The fog brings a definite chill.

We had a couple of light frosts.

My remaining tomatoes didn't like that at all.
