Shadow Shot #170 ~ Pennsylvania Shadows

While helping Mom out here in Pennsylvania I found a trove of shadows just waiting to be captured.  These are a few that jumped out at me from her lawn one dewy morning. I've accumulated enough here to do a couple more posts at least now. So, stay tuned!

For more shooters of shadows, go see our Australian hostess, Tracy, HERE.  Blessings on the head of each person who passes this way.
love, Cassie

More lovely Shadow shots! Maybe I'll join in one day, when the UK gets some sun to cause shadows!

These are great shots, Cassie. I love the one with just the pump shadow in it.

I lived in both Lancaster and Adams counties a number of years ago, so these photos fill me with nostalgia for one of my favorite states!

IF I HAD A SHADOW

If I had a shadow as big as the sky,
I never would fear, and I’ll tell you why:

My shadow would save me from dragons and things
That fly in the night with terrible wings;

My shadow would keep me away from the beast
That sniffs in the west and sniffs in the east

Hungry for children who play all alone,
Hoping to feast upon blood, upon bone;

My shadow would be my protector and knight
To keep fear at bay, to banish all fright.

I’m so glad my shadow is always nearby,
Though it’s not nearly as big as the sky!

This homestead is lovely, the classic treasures abound: the beautiful barn, the out buildings the look of the past, and the pump handle. THe look of the past that never gets old.

Is the bell a replica of the Liberty Bell? Now that is yard art to treasure! The Keystone State here is wonderful!

Those are wonderful shots, and put me somewhat in mind of farm country back in Missouri. I love 'em!

You found some wonderful shadows. I think my favorite is the ones of the water pump, especially the first one. In it you don't see the actual pump but it is clear to see what the shadow is from.
Thanks for sharing!
