Hootie likes to walk to check the mail and maybe get to visit with a neighbor while he's in Phoenix. He is, in fact, wayyyy more sociable than I. I'm always glad when we go out and there are no people in sight. Since his full name is Hairy "Hootie" Houdini he has streaked out our front door like an escape artist more than once! Then the chase is on. Although normally he spends most of his day acting like my shadow, when he pulls one of his great escapes he acts like he has no idea who I am when I'm calling him. Drives me nuts. Luckily we're in a gated community so I eventually coral him.
For a plethora of Shadow Shots, just go visit Tracy, our hostess from Australia. She can be found at her blog, HeyHarriet.blogspot.com.
Thanks for visiting today. Come again and God Bless your path. love, Cassie

That made me laugh ! john`s welsh terriers are exactly the same -love the shadow shots ! x
Isn't that just like a doggie, ignoring you when they want to do their own thing!!! Great shots, especially Hootie and his shadow!
This is a fine scene - the bars of the gate feel like a prison to Hootie it seems. This might explain why is so adept as an escape artist! He does make a cute shadow, be it of him (or you :)
Beautiful shadow shots. Love the second shot!
Soft shade of shadows at Nostalgic Marvelingplease come and see. Have a great weekend!
Lovely shadow shots.
Hi Cassie,
Oh, my gosh, I love your choices for today!
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me such a nice comment. I have my photos picked out, but not up yet.
Hey, I entered your name into my drawing, which will happen on Monday.
Take care,
Kathy
The top photo is just wonderful. Love everything about it.
Grand shadow shots for today, Cassie. Hootie sounds like he has a little ornery streak. Cool cactus picture too! Have a great weekend! :)
Even Hootie's shadow is cute!
isn't that selective hearing a trait learned from us humans...too funny. great shadow shots.
Love your shadows this week Cassie. Hootie sounds like a right little mischief maker, lucky he's so cute I guess hey ;)
cute pictures :) I really like the one where Hootie is next to the cactus - cute!
Forgot to add- hope you are feeling better and thank you for your support and wonderful comments- visited Andrew tonight-he continues to improve hopefully he will be going home Tuesday-fingers crossed xx
Love it Cassie! Love those pictures of Hootie as well...what a hoot - ha! Enjoy your week!
That second shadow makes Hootie look larger than life! Then scrolling down to the second one, and Hootie looks like a little puppy next to that huge cactus! And yes, he looks like a little mischievious escape artist. I guess he just pops out for some socialising :)
Yes I think Sharon's idea about the chickens is a goodie. I had planned on getting some chickens this year, so now I have an excuse to get them earlier than planned. An abundance of fresh free-range eggs in my future! And a grasshopper free-zone :)
How TALL Hootie's shadow is!! Very cute!
I lived in Tucson for over a decade, so this desert share of yours was a special treat...as is Hootie!! How adorable.

Hope your weekend has been treating you well.
Gotta LUV them terriers...when Scratchy decides that she isn't going to listen to me and wanders too far away, I have a full proof method for getting her back...I rattle a mouse trap and she comes runnin'!!!
I'm sure I look a little retarded out in my yard shaking the infernal contraption, however the lingering scent of a deceased rodent is too much for her to ignore...GOTCHA!!!
Enjoy some of that sunshine for me too...OK...!
Beautiful shots Cassie.
Can't imagine why Houdini would want to escape from YOU!!!
Great shadow shots! That Hootie is a cute!! Ellie is usually stuck to me like a shadow too.
Love the dog's shadow!

Hootie is very cute.
Your breakfast dish looks and sounds delicious!
What a fun shadow to have, that Hootie! He certainly is dwarfed by that gigantor cactus plant.
I like his nick name. Stay away from that cactus Hootie.
Wonderful Arizona shadows! Mmmmm. I can feel the sun warming my face...almost. :)
