Our Finished Pots....

This little table was my first mosaic project. It took 3 - 3 hour classes.
Gail grouting her pot.

My pot.

Gail's pot.

Our pots after grouting. We had to wait a day or so to wipe off better.

Here's my pot all cleaned up!

If you are in the Phoenix area why not stop in at D & D Tile and see their show room!

How Beautiful!!! I want to make one and have been saving bits of glass and old dishes for years. What did you grout with - floor grout???

Have a wonderful day,
Lynn

I can't for the life of me think of what you might have sent Chica... I don't handle suspense well, it tends to drive me nuts!! Are you happy???!!! :)!!

Thanks Rosemarie. It's my 3rd mosaic project and was actually the most easy.

Lynn ~ I've broken SO many plates over the years, but oddly they're one of the few things I've actually thrown away! As far as the grout, it's plain old grout. If you want any help if you decide to do this, drop me an email and I'll try to help.

Michele ~ Yes,go for it!I love to surprise people! Hehehehe.

Jen ~ I'd love to do this again, so next winter sounds good. You would not believe the fabulous mosaics they've made for homes. I'll take you to the show room of D & D tile next time we meet.

Rev.Paul ~ It sure is gratifying hearing all the nice feedback too! Thanks.

John ~ It was a toss up whether to use blue and red or blue and deep purple. I really wanted to use charcoal gray grout, but they didn't have any. That would have been a cool combo too. Thanks!

Suz ~ Thanks. Maybe I could make you a new shelf for your shower!he he.

Dorothy ~ Actually my first project was a little table top.I did that at a class at the Desert Botanical Garden, put on by the guys at D & D. I'll add a picture of it for you.

Karen ~ You should make some yourself. The thing is you need tools, that's why I've always done my stuff at the tile store, because they provide the tools & you buy the tiles & grout from them. Then they charge you $10 per hour for showroom time. The pot project was a special deal they ran so unless we went over a 3hr time limit,I just paid a flat fee.

Very pretty pot and table top too, Cassie! You must be a crafty, creative soul. If you are like me, it does you good to be able to create something. Hope you have a great weekend. :)

Daisy ~ I do love to be creative, but not sure I'm really very good at it. But thx!

Betsy ~ I'm thinking one mosaic project per year. Cutting the tile is kind of hard on the hands.

Shelley ~ I think when I take the pot to our cabin I'll plant some veteran's honor roses in it.They are bright red. Thanks. I put the pic of the table in after reading Dot's comment. I hope she sees it.
