It's Saturday morning here in Phoenix, Arizona. The Friday night Bible study that we attend had this life size crown of thorns and nail as a visual reminder of some of what our Lord endured on Good Friday. (I immediately saw the shadows awaiting my capture.) It was a night of reflection, sadness, praise and thankfulness. Without Good Friday there would be no Resurrection Sunday.

The torment and death of our Savior is sad. Yet, the solace in our faith is that it was not in vain, that is had to occur as it did. The standard Roman execution is awful, happily we see it as life itself. As the centurion noted, he was truly the son of God...Happy and blessed Easter to you and yours, and that includes Hootie and Rocket too!
