Look closer...there are people standing in these red rock shadows!
I should have moved closer for this shot of my guy and pooches.
Now this little fellow could cause some pain. Ouch!
The creosote bush casts a fine shadow & smells good too.
No fatties allowed apparently. Okay, we'll move our big butts on!
heading back toward the Phoenix skyline.
All these photos were taken a few days before my camera died on me last Sunday. We attended the PetSmart Petwalk in Tempe, AZ to join our Dales & Friends group. While on the last 1/2 mile of our walk the skies opened up and we were saturated with rain. My camera took it's final photos that day, before drowning. Not sure if I have any other Shadow Shots in my archives now, so will probably have to use Patrick's Nikon, which I don't like much. Phooey.
For more Shadow Shots please go visit our hostess, Tracy at Hey Harriet. For the new Pet Pride meme, just go HERE. Here's wishing all who pass this way a blessed weekend.
love, Cassie

Nice shots, Cassie! I like the cactus and the one at the end of Patrick and the pooches the best.
Enjoy your weekend! :)
Looks like an interesting walk! We've had more snow so the warmth looks very nice.

Great shots Cassie-love the creosote bush the best-had to enlarge the picture to spot the people on the rock ! have a great weekend !
Those are great shots, Cassie. I like the big rock formations. In a way, I envy you the trails that are free of bears. Ours, up here ... not so much. (grins)
oh no...not your camera!! bummer. at least you got some nice shots before it left you.
have a great weekend.
I am glad that the doggies only hunt shadows! That spiny cactus does indeed look as if its bite is much worse than its bark...
The master and canines leave such nice shadows, their walk a bonding session like no other!
Bright Southwestern days are filled with interesting shadows--as you've demonstrated!

Many shadow-seekers say,
“Oh, the one that got away!”
Why are you so uptight, folks?
Can’t you take light’s little jokes?

Wow,
grande posto.
Ciao Myriam :)
Fun shots, I love the desert, the warm, dry air...I think I might be hallucinating from the desert heat...no, must be my long Johns are too tight...can't wait to be rid of them suckers. Enjoy a bit of that sunshine for me...K...!
Sorry to hear of your camera's demise. It did take some pretty pictures, though! Love the little spiky plant and the shadow it makes! Keep those puppy noses away from that!
Great pictures, Cassie! Love those shadow shots and the rocks!
Happy Sunday!
Sorry about your camera! Your doggies do seem to have had a great day and such gorgeous blue skies! I do love your shadow shots and you got such a great variety. The huge rocks are fantastic! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! -- all four of you!!

Beautiful captures!
My Shadow Shots
Loved all your shots and so sorry to hear about the demise of your camera! How 'lost' you must feel! But, it's always exciting to anticipate getting a new camera (whenever that is).
And, I'm guessing that you are a Canon fan!
Baby Rocket Dog and Hootie make such a great pair. What a beautiful walk that must have been, before the rain!

Your dogs look as if they are really enjoying their wanders outdoors! And love all those shadow patterns!
Nice Shadow Shots. The dogs seemed to enjoy the walk. Nice desert shots as well.
Your dogs have such a great life. I've never heard of a creosote bush before but it casts lovely shadowy patterns. So sorry about your camera! Patrick's Nikon may grow on you :)
Great shadow shots. Looks like a pretty part of the country. Mickie
Stopping by after joining in on pet Pride this week. I love your doggies and the great shadow shots. Sorry about your camera. Have a great Sunday!
Looks like a great place to hike. It's hard to get ahead of them to get front shots, isn't it? I have the same problem when we walk our dog at the park.
Stopping by from Pet Pride. Here's a link to my post if you get a chance to come by: http://zemeks.blogspot.com/2011/02/play-fighting-featuring-spunky-and.html
Nice! I like the last one too. There is just something about shots like that. Don't quite know what the feeling is though. :)
I just typed a long comment, and blogger ate it! Super shadows, shame about the camera, fingers crossed we get no more snow ...... that's the short version!!
Beautiful photos. I'd love to visit AZ some day. I love the last shop, the dogs walking down the road. So nice!
Love the cactus shadows!

I would kill for ten minutes of your heat!

it looks so warm in your place, when I think I still have to wear a thinck coat in Belgium !
My husband would be saying "no, you can't take the rocks home."
Buongiorno Cassie, very nice setting for the shots of the shadows, my favorites are the first and fourth!
Have a good day!
Tons of great shadows here!
