A to Z Monday ~ Food Fun With the Letters M & N

Manicotti. Cheese Manicotti. One of my favorite Italian dishes. There’s a place in Phoenix called Stumpy’s and they make the very best Cheese Manicotti. Oh yum, now I do miss a few things about Phoenix! I’m gonna use a “file photo” for this one.

And, M is also for Moon Stones Candy. I bought 3 jars of these silly things because I LIKE THE JARS they come in!! I think they are the perfect size for storing other small, dry foods. So, I figured they were on sale from $3.99 each down to $1.99 each so I couldn’t buy jars like that for so cheap. Anybody else ever do weird stuff like this??

Now for the letter N, I was about out of ideas, when I attended our local Earth Day/Arbor Day celebration on Saturday. My choice for the letter N is Natural! Natural everything, but in this case, Natural Brew Coffee Filters. And, that’s all I have to say about the letter N. :<) For more A to Z Monday foodies, go visit Jen’s sidebar. Shadow Shot Sunday #12 ~ Last Sundays Shadows & WE HAD AN ACCIDENT

I have NEVER seen this in the shadows on the driveway before. And haven't seen it since. These are flowers our Godson brought us Easter Sunday.

The Canyon Gate Gals...

These goodies were a departure gift from Jeanne.

They say, "Is it love? ...or am I being used for food and amusement?"

My buddy Jeanne is my next door neighbor.

Hootie,our Welsh Terrier always runs over to her door to check if she's home.

He loves her, but nearly knocks her over when he sees her.

These bottom pics were taken at an A's vs. Diamondbacks baseball game that I attended with my friends Jeanne, Dorothea and Gigi last month. The top photos were taken yesterday after we returned from doing lunch at Olive & Ivy in Scottsdale. The gals treated me to a lovely lunch with Champagne cocktails to bid me adieu, since Patrick and I are heading north this evening. This is our 2nd annual "Good-bye Cassie" lunch. Last year we did Postino which was fine, but quite crowded and close quarters. I really enjoyed Olive & Ivy. The wait staff was friendly, yet professional and eager to please. We sat outside and enjoyed the view from the patio and of course gabbed non stop!! Great fun.

I'll try to get a post in on the road. We'll see how it goes. Have a great week end and may the Lord of all things bless and keep all who read this blog.

2 words: Yum. Yum. Another favorite K word: KEURIG.

I love this handy-dandy little machine. Bought one for Patrick for Christmas up north and had to buy another for the condo! Pat can drink gallons of java, so still uses his regular coffee maker. For a quick, fresh cup every time though, this is the machine to use as far as I'm concerned. I have a specialty drink I make with the KEURIG each morning for myself. That's for next week's post. 1961 Corvette ~ And The Winner Is...

My Aunt Terry (from the previous post) just won this 1961 Corvette in a drawing at a Casino in Louisiana a few days ago. Can you believe what kind of luck she has!! She was just saying she needed to get a new car. It's a classic and her deceased husband, Uncle L., would have loved it! He had a Vet and even had it on his business calendar one year too. Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool that she won this one.
